it’s universally acknowledged that exposure to natural light improves our mood. however, other benefits are lesser known. numerous studies demonstrate people who are exposed to natural light tend to sleep better, think clearer and are overall more productive than people who lack exposure to natural light

3 easy ways to boost natural light in your space:

• arrange furniture to maximise exposure eg place your sofa adjacent to or opposite windows, rather than in front of them

• use window dressings which filter, rather than block, natural light eg voile curtains rather than shutters

• incorporate reflective surfaces, eg paint your walls in light (ideally, white) colours and/or use satin paint, and use mirrors and glass accessories to decorate your space
